Tiktok is the leading platform that helps the creator market and enables it to grow. It is the first non-American app to have the most downloads in the world and more than 50 million active users daily. It’s a platform that lets an average person become a celebrity within its space, promotes your sound and empowers virality.

A better part of content creators on Tiktok are Gen Z, but a better part of Millenials and Generation X watch Tiktoks even more than Gen Zs. However, I stand to be corrected. My dad and uncle watch Tiktok everyday, and I’m pretty sure half of their generation watch Tiktok. I am Gen Z, and I barely always watch Tiktok, unless I intend to create content and see what’s viral. It really differs for individuals, Regardless, Tiktok is not generation specific when it comes to content consumption

The boom of Tiktok came as a result of the Lockdown, and it’s here to stay. Once you start, you cannot stop. I remember going on Tiktok to watch one video and spent more than three hours watching over 100 videos. Tiktok sucks you in, which is why it’s an excellent platform for your brand. Your consumers are on Tiktok.

It’s a platform where you do not necessarily need an influencer to push your content. Your brand can create content and go viral. It’s simple, and I feel many brands are missing out on this. It also allows for conversion and gives your brand the visibility it desires. You can create content that can go viral by following some simple Tiktok rules.

2. Hop on trends/trending sounds before they fade out.

Videos are the very essence of Tiktok. People want to see what is entertaining and interesting. They want to be able to laugh, learn and discover through your videos. If your brand hosts an event or sponsors any event then you should do Tiktoks.

Tiktok is one of the most trend driven platforms and it is very easy to jump on trends and go viral. It is important to note that as a company, not everything in life has to be so serious. Sometimes, fun and creativity is the very essence that will drive customers your way. You can find a way to creatively jump on trending sounds without having to compromise your brand or its image.

3. Create valuable and creative content

This is where your creativity comes to play. You want your audience to know that your brand can be creative and versatile without harming your brand values. Let your content be funny and relatable. 

4. Have a creative team

You will surely need a team of creative thinkers who can bring their originality and creativity to work. You do not need to many hands on deck but just the right persons which would consist of a videographer/video editor, content creator and content writer. 

5. Create a Hashtag challenge

creating challenges are part of fun ways to engage your audience. It allows you to categorise your content on Tiktok's algorithm. You can also attach multiple hashtags to your brand so that whever people search for those keywords, they can easily find your brand.

Mkaing money on Tiktok is very easy if you can hack the points below.

1. Do Live Videos Regularly

You can make money through gifters. Gifters are waiting to gift, gifters want followers, and gifting is what gifters enjoy. If people know they can gain followers through your lives, they would gift your brand. Also, your brand can just do a random live video ad get gifts. Live videos are an excellent avenue for your brand to earn extra income.

2. Create Content Daily

Your brand doe not necessarily have to create content that sells but create organic and authentic content. Gifters will gift your content if they like it. It’s only on Tiktok that you can choose to be yourself and go viral.

Finally

Tiktok is the new oil that brands should milk on before it’s too late. I fear Tiktok may start doing sponsored ads like Youtube, Meta Apps, and the likes that will disrupt it's "For You Page". If my fears are valid, then virality on Tiktok may drop by almost 50%, and why? Because Tiktok would want to push ads more than content. It’s a shame because that’s the same thing Instagram is doing. Jump on the Tiktok train before it’s too late!
